Host Families needed for Okinawan students

Dear Okinawa Kenjin Club members,

Like last year, Elaine Ikoma Ko will be coordinating with 16 middle schoolers from Okinawa from July 27th – August 17th.
Would any of our members be interested in hosting students during that time.
Elaine is currently looking for three families to host two students each, if possible.

The program she coordinates will keep the students busy all day M-F, in South Park area for their classes and excursions which hosts an join us on (Mt Rainier, Mariners game, Space Needle, etc.).
Hosts provide meals (although we often provide meals when we are on field trips), and have them in evenings and weekends throughout the three intensive weeks.
The compensation is $75 per week for the two students, and the sponsoring group is the cultural exchange organization CCI Greenheart, a nonprofit dedicated to cultural understanding and environmental stewardship.

If you are interested, please contact – Noriko Inafuku @ kikonoko@gmail.com and she will connect you to Elaine Ikoma Ko for further information.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Tomo Uehara

President
Okinawa Kenjin Club of WA
